Regis Prograis returned to his home city of New Orleans on Saturday night when he defended his WBC super lightweight belt against Danielito Zorrilla.
Prograis put Ocampo down as he aimed to make it five consecutive stoppages, but ultimately he had to go the distance to grab his win.
The judges scored it a split decision victory for the American over his Puerto Rican rival, 118-109, 117-110, 113-114.
The 34-year-old will now have to see what comes next, with Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez both mentioned as potential fights for later in 2023.
