'I’m going to settle the family business' - Conor Benn promises victory over Chris Eubank Jr.DAZN

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn finally came face to face as they met in London to formally announce their epic fight on October 8th. The sons of British sporting legends, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, the younger generation of the fighting fathers picked up where their fathers left off in 1993 as they exchanged multiple barbs across the top table.

Both men expressed confidence in their approach for their catchweight meeting as they answered questions from promoters Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland. The subject of Eubank Jr’s weight was a constant talking point and the Brighton man was quick to address that the limit of 157lbs will hinder him.

“If I’m at 100% then it’s a public execution. I’ll be 60% and that’ll be enough,” said Eubank when speaking at the top table. "Nothing like this has ever happened in the history of the sport. Two legends who inspired a nation, became superstars, and etched their names into British history. 30 year later, their son, who've both made themselves in boxing, are going to go to war for a third time.”

“This is once in a lifetime. It’s a fantasy fight for British public,” added Benn. “Eubank was mentioned to me before my professional debut. When we get in there, we settle the family business, and I’m going to settle the family business. I’m focused on delivering on October 8th.”
