Inexperienced Japanese fighter leaves former world title challenger 'unable to breathe' in huge upsetEd Mullholland/Matchroom
There was a huge knockout in Japan.

Riky Masuda produced a career best performance on Saturday with an emphatic first round knockout against former world title challenger Jonas Sultan.

Masuda, who was participating in just fifth professional fight, landed a brutal left hand to the body just as Sultan was throwing a right hand of his own.

The punch from Masuda sent his opponent down to the canvas for the first time in his career and it proved too much for Sultan who failed to meet the referee's count.

Speaking after the loss, Sultan revealed that Masuda's punch was too difficult to come back from and claimed that he could not breathe after it was thrown.

“I tried to shake it off, but I really can’t breathe. Masakit talaga (It really hurts),” Sultan said.

This contest featured on the undercard of Alexandro Santiago vs. Junto Nakatani which also saw a fighter become a four weight world champion following a dominant performance in Tokyo.
