The former world champion looks set for another fight, according to reports.

Floyd Mayweather looks set to return to the ring in unusual circumstances this May, according to reports.

The 45-year-old American bowed out professional boxing back in 2017 with a huge PPV fight against Conor McGregor, securing a 50-0 record before embarking on money-spinning exhibition fights.

After the McGregor finale he fought in Tokyo against Tenshin Nasukawa on New Year’s Eve, coasting to an easy victory, and in the summer of last year he took on Logan Paul, clearly the better fighter.

Now he looks set to step back into the limelight with a fight on  a helicopter landing pad in Dubai at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, in what TMZ reports is the launch of ‘The Global Titans Fight Series’.

He is set to fight Don Moore, unbeaten over 19 fights and with 12 knockouts to his name. The bout takes place on May 14 and will run to eight rounds.

The card is set to feature MMA legend Anderson Silva, who fought in June 2021 to defeat Julio Cesar Chavez, before knocking out Tito Ortiz. He will fight Bruno Machado.

There is also Badou Jack, according to the story.

While there is little certainty over the precise details of the event, or that the fight will even go ahead as planned, Mayweather had been rumoured to be planning something similar since he completed his fight with Paul.

The multi-division champion had said he was unlikely to get back in the ring for an exhibition, but was quickly linked to a fight in Dubai.
