Jaime Munguia names one big factor why he thinks he'll beat John RyderDAZN
A big super-middleweight fight takes place this month.

Jaime Munguia returns to action later this month and he’ll face a stern test when he climbs into the ring to tackle John Ryder.

Munguia will have the opportunity to impress at 168lbs as he goes in with a man who took Canelo Alvarez the 12-round distance last year, and he’ll have Freddie Roach in his corner as he looks to score a big win.

The veteran trainer, one of boxing’s finest ever corner figures, now has the responsibility of delivering another world title for Munguia as he looks to make an impact in a new weight class.

Munguia is delighted to have Roach overseeing his training camp and he believes the former trainer of Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson will be essential for further glory.

"We're very happy with Freddie in our corner," said Munguia when speaking to ProBox TV. "I feel like he's going to be a big factor in winning this fight."

"I began to train with Freddie Roach because he is an excellent trainer and has an incredible roster of current and former world champions he has worked with on an international level. It was a great decision to integrate our teams together.

"I feel very good right now. I feel very strong, and I feel like this has been one of the best training camps I have had.”
