Jaime Munguia is one month away from the biggest fight of his life and he’s saying all the right things as he looks to become world champion.
Munguia will face Canelo Alvarez on May 4 and he’s entering the bout high on confidence as he looks to unseat his fellow Mexican as the best super middleweight in the world.
Munguia’s rise to this point has been an impressive one that has seen him score big wins in three weight classes including a run as world champion at super-welterweight.
Munguia believes his best chance of victory is to engage Canelo into a fight and that’s his goal once the contest gets underway.
“I do believe I’m pushing, and I’m giving you my word that I’m going to do my best to get him to fight with me,” said Munguia when speaking to Fight Hub.
“At this point, I don’t really know, but the possibility of a knockout will be there. Whenever you are in the ring, anything can happen.”
