Jake Paul explains why KSI should be stripped of win over Joe Fournier
Crossover boxing star Jake Paul has said his rival KSI should have his win over Joe Fournier taken away.
The British fighter took on former WBA International light heavyweight fighter Fournier in London, in an event shown live on DAZN.
KSI knocked out the former professional in the second round at the OVO Arena, but did so in controversial circumstances.
While the YouTuber looked dominant, he appeared to strike Fournier with an accidental elbow, sending him to the canvas and knocking him out in the process.
The referee did not spot any infraction, or if he did, did not deem it worth intervening.
Tweeting after the fight Jake Paul, whose brother Logan promotes the Prime energy drink with KSI, tweeted: “I respect boxing too much to respect what that was.
“If that was indeed a real boxing match it will be ruled a no contest or disqualification.”
KSI and Logan Paul have fought twice, in 2018 and then 2019, but it appears he and Jake Paul may one day meet in the ring for what could be the biggest crossover fight so far.
However there was a brief flashpoint last night as KSI and Tommy Fury were separated in the ring, suggesting an all-British bout could be on the horizon first.
