Jake Paul has claimed that Floyd Mayweather is not willing to risk his unbeaten professional record against him.
Mayweather will fight Jake’s brother Logan on June 6, but as with Mayweather’s last two fights - against Conor McGregor and then Tenshin Nasukawa - the event will be classed as an exhibition, meaning his 50-0 record will be intact whatever the result.
Paul recently had a spat with Mayweather after stealing his hat, which ended in a brawl and an exchange of zesty language.
Speaking to The Sun, the YouTube celebrity confirmed that he wished to follow his brother by also fighting Mayweather but would want their unbeaten records to be contested. Paul has three wins and no defeats to his name, the most recent victory coming against former UFC fighter Ben Askren.
Paul said: "I don't want to do exhibitions and I think that's the difference between Floyd and I and even my brother and I.
"I want legitimate pro fights that are sanctioned, I want to build my pro record.
"I don't think Floyd would actually fight me outside of an exhibition as he doesn't want to risk his record.
"Maybe if we can come to some kind of agreement around that, I'd fight Floyd. But I'm not doing like the circus, exhibition s—."
