Jake Paul was originally supposed to fight Mike Tyson on Saturday night but an injury to the boxing legend paved the way for former UFC star Mike Perry to take his place.
And many felt like Paul was jeopardising his rescheduled November 15 bout with Tyson by fighting Perry, but "The Problem Child" did so anyway, producing a sixth-round TKO of Perry from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida , and live on DAZN.
Afterwards, a victorious Paul not only looked ahead to fighting Tyson, but also called out UFC light heavyweight world champion Alex Pereira.
"Everyone said that it was a mistake taking this fight, that I was an idiot, I was risking it. But that's why I'm here. I take big risks, I put it on the line and it's anyone, any time, any place," Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) began telling DAZN's Ariel Helwani.
"Mike Tyson, you're next big boy. Sign the contract — November 15. I'm excited for that. I'm going to go home and prepare for that."
Paul added: "And Alex Pereira, you said you want to box. I'm the king of this. Come over, we can make it happen. I want you, Alex Pereira. I just beat a BKFC champion, I beat multiple UFC champions and he said he wants to box, so Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson, let's make it happen."
Pereira surprised Paul by FaceTiming him in the ring, to which Paul could be heard telling the Brazilian fighter: "The bigger they are, the harder they fall. You're light work."
This comes after Pereira, via his social media, expressed the desire to box after Anthony Joshua encouraged him to do so.
After calling out Pereira, Paul once again confirmed that he'll be fighting Tyson in November, before making a chilling promise to "Iron Mike" for their fight.
"One-hundred percent it's happening — November 15," he said. "Mike Tyson is training, he's back, looking crazier than ever. And I'm going to get another KO and prove everyone wrong once again."
Paul added moments later: "Mike, I love you but this is my sport now. You're a legend, you're one of the two most famous boxers to ever live — you and Muhammad Ali.
"It's an honour to get in the ring with you, I'm so, so honoured. You're a legend but I'm gonna take your throne, brother."
