YouTuber, boxer, and promoter Jake Paul predicted he could beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Anderson Silva if he fought the pair on the same evening.
Paul last fought in December in a rematch with Tyron Woodley, a former UFC champion, after a match-up with Tommy Fury fell through. His brother, Logan, last fought Floyd Mayweather last June. Mayweather was in action on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, where he took on Don Moore in an exhibition.
He has been touting a return to professional fighting in August, but no opponent has been confirmed.
Also on the card was Silva, who has crossed over from UFC to boxing and has beaten Julio Cesar De Jesus, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Tito Ortiz. Silva defeated Bruno Machado last night, and a fight with Paul has been suggested.
Paul posted a message on Twitter saying: "I would beat Floyd and Anderson in the same night."
He also added an image of himself as a pest controller, presumably referring to Silva’s ‘The Spider’ nickname.
Silva said of fighting Paul: "People need to respect the Paul brothers. Those kids are talented, and they’ve opened people’s eyes about the good and bad in combat sports. I’m preparing my body for a challenge. We’ll see what happens."
