Just over three weeks remain before Jake Paul faces Hasim Rahman Jr. at Madison Square Garden on August 6.
After helping to promote one of the biggest fights in women's boxing, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, at the same iconic New York venue last April, Paul is lacing up the gloves once more in his sixth professional fight against the son of a former world heavyweight champion.
There is previous history between these two fighters following a sparring session, but while Paul claims that Rahman Jr. gave him a tough test, the 31-year-old heavyweight prospect claims that 'The Problem Child' is always quick to change his tune.
"Jake’s a liar, a fraud, a phoney," Rahman Jr. told The DAZN Boxing Show.
"He’ll sit there in one interview and say I got the better of him, then he’ll go to the press conference and say he beat me up.
"So, which one is it?"
Rahman Jr. was a late replacement opponent for Paul who was originally set to face Tommy Fury before visa issues meant the brother of WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury was unable to travel to the U.S.
