Jake Paul isn't a real boxer, claims Badou JackDAZN
The former WBA light heavyweight champion is on Jake's brother's undercard.

Badou Jack has mixed feelings on Jake Paul as he prepares to take part in the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul undercard on June 6.

The former WBA light heavyweight champion faces current belt holder Jean Pascal in a rematch event, and speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, was quizzed over what he felt about Logan’s brother, Jake.

Perhaps not wanting to be too dismissive of the phenomenon given he is on another YouTube celebrity’s card, he admitted that Jake was an adroit money-maker.

I don’t think he’s a real boxer,” he began. “I mean, he’s a boxer because he trains hard and it’s his life, he’s a social media boxer.

“He’s corny, he’s not that good, but you can’t knock his hustle. He has all the boxers calling him out, he's making money, he’s doing a great job. Regardless of what you think of him as a person.”

With Jack focused on his own match-up, he has spent little time in the company of Mayweather, who is training for his fight with Logan Paul, but he believes the 44-year-old legend is taking the event seriously.

“I believe so, it’s entertainment, everyone’s done an exhibition fight. Floyd beat everyone, had a great career.

“This is a new era of boxing. To be honest I haven’t seen Floyd train this camp because of Covid and my fight. I haven’t seen him train, but the videos, it looks like he’s taking it seriously - [Logan Paul’s] a bigger guy even if he’s not a real boxer.”
