Tony Bellew believes Jake Paul will produce a statement performance when he steps into the ring with Mike Perry this weekend live on DAZN.
Paul was scheduled to be taking on Mike Tyson this weekend but a medical issue with the legendary fighter now means that bout has been put back until later this year with November 15 the proposed date.
Instead, Paul will remain active as he looks to build further momentum heading into his contest with Tyson.
The popular YouTuber has rebounded well since losing to Tommy Fury in 2023 and Bellew is backing Paul to maintain his recent good form against the former UFC star.
“Jake Paul to win, and do you know what? I think he’ll look good doing so,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN.
“Fair play to Jake and his team for getting this on as he easily could've sat this one out and waited for the Tyson fight to come around.
“He wants to stay busy. He doesn’t want periods of inactivity. He’s going in with a fighter who has experience, but I think this fight ends early.
“Jake has shown he can compete with the MMA guys when it comes to boxing, and he’ll prove that again on Saturday. I’m expecting a big brutal knockout from Jake Paul."
