Jake Paul has been sent a warning ahead of his huge clash with boxing legend Mike Tyson later this year.
The pair will finally lock horns in November at the AT&T Stadium in Texas after their original July fight was rescheduled following Tyson's ulcer flare-up.
Now back and seemingly ready to go, the 58-year-old is ready to step in a ring for the first time since an exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr in 2020 and face the social media star turned pro boxer, who's already defeated the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz.
Yet, featherweight boxer Bruce Carrington says that Paul might be beaten before the bell even rings, such is the aura that Tyson brings to the ring with him. "Listen, man. You can never knock that Mike Tyson power. His aura alone can make you lose a fight before you step in a ring,” he told World Boxing News.
“Yeah, so Tyson says, every fight, that he’s scared, or afraid — whatever. Don’t let that fool you because people who fight scared are sometimes the most dangerous fighters.
"They’re, like, hyper-attentive because their heart rate is so fast. They’re scared, but that makes them super focused.
"And those are sometimes the most dangerous fighters to fight.”
Tyson is now 58, and there is concern about whether he will be able to keep up with Paul, who's thirty years his junior. But Carrington still believes in that Tyson magic.
Adding: "His age is definitely a factor, don’t get me wrong. He’s been away from the ring for some time while Jake Paul has been super active.
“But Mike Tyson is Mike Tyson. You can’t count him out.”
