Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson - Teddy Atlas gives his opinion on blockbuster fight

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson - Teddy Atlas gives his opinion on blockbuster fightDAZN
The rivals will meet in November.

The first couple of rounds against Mike Tyson could be dangerous for Jake Paul when they finally collide this November.

That’s the verdict of Teddy Atlas, a former coach of Tyson, who’s fully aware of the qualities that the New Yorker once possessed.

Tyson will have his first professional fight in nearly 20 years following his 2005 defeat to Kevin McBride.

The former heavyweight champion has participated in numerous exhibition bouts since the McBride setback, but Atlas thinks the fight will favour Paul the longer it goes.

“The first couple minutes could be a little risky for Paul against a guy who was the youngest heavyweight champ and a guy with one of the greatest combinations of speed and power in the history of the heavyweight division,” said Atlas when speaking to Seconds Out.

“For one or two rounds, could it be a little hairy? Yeah. If he don’t catch him, or he don’t hurt him, then the gas tank starts to putter, if that happens, then the young man would have the advantage. Even a young man who’s far less accomplished in the game.”
