Chris Eubank Jr's next move is one shrouded in uncertainty.
After stopping Liam Smith in September, this win had seemingly opened doors for Eubank Jr to pursue the career defining fights which his resume needs.
However, after negotiations for a meeting with Conor Benn collapsed, there is now little news on what Eubank Jr will do next.
One possible avenue for the British fighter is a world title fight against IBF and WBO world middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly, but in a post on X , Alimkhanuly claimed to not know who Eubank Jr was despite offering a prediction for the contest.
"Eubank? Who is he? Is he a boxer? Is he a champion? If he's a boxer, then I'll knock him out in the first round inshallah," Alimkhanuly wrote.
Alimkhanuly is no stranger to facing British opposition with his first world title fight in 2022 coming against Denzel Bentley who he beat by unanimous decision.
