"Boots" keeps making his case stronger at welterweight.

If you didn't know it before, you know it now — Jarron Ennis is a problem for the welterweight division.

The Philadelphia fighter produced a dazzling sixth-round knockout of Sergey Lipinets at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old Ennis was having his way with Lipinets, firing and landing shots seemingly at will, until a right hook to the head followed by a slick left hand ended the show during the sixth round in scintillating fashion.

Now 27-0 with 25 knockouts, Ennis' handling of a former world champion like Lipinets should put the welterweight division on notice. And Ennis is already yearning for more.

“Most definitely I think I graduated tonight," Ennis said after his latest victory and statement made. "It’s on the up and up now. It’s onto bigger and better fights now.

“Hopefully the other top welterweight fighters want to take me on," he continued moments later, adding that he may have to become a mandatory challenger to get a world title shot at 147 pounds. "I want to elevate my career and go down in history as a Hall of Famer."
