Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller feels a Tyson Fury clash is inevitable

Jarrell Miller looks to get back on the path to securing a shot against arguably the best heavyweight in the world.

When Jarrell Miller signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank earlier this year, the presumption was that "Big Baby" was being earmarked for a future bout against Tyson Fury since the Englishman competes under the same promotional outfit.

Miller had been rumored to be in the co-feature of the rematch between Fury and Deontay Wilder on Feb. 22. But terms of the contract between him and Top Rank weren't agreed upon in time. Now that he has signed a deal, the 31-year-old thinks it's only a matter of time before he takes on Fury.

"I think it is," Miller told Sky Sports. "I think that they were talking about it after Fury fighting Wilder again. I was supposed to be the co-main event for that fight. I was supposed to be the co-main event for the last fight. I think that will be definitely in the future."

Miller watched Fury knock Wilder down twice and dominate the entire way to win by seventh-round TKO to win the WBC title. He didn't come away too impressed by Wilder's performance.

"We didn't see anything new from Wilder that we didn't already know, I mean as a boxer and a student of the game," Miller said. "I've always said that he fights a guy that can box him, can take a pretty decent punch, it's going to be a long night for Deontay, and that's what happened. When you're a taller guy like Tyson, it's easier for him to stay against the range, but Tyson went for him, laid on him, put the weight on him, kept the punches in his face and waited until he got tired, and threw bombs at him."

Miller believes that he has the recipe to hand Tyson Fury his first loss as a professional.

"For me as a smaller guy, or the shorter guy, I would be on his chest all night, the exact same way, even worse," Miller proclaimed. "I let my combinations go a lot better than these guys."

Miller hasn't fought since notching a fourth-round knockout over Bogdan Dinu in November 2018. Miller had been scheduled to face Anthony Joshua last June at Madison Square Garden for the IBF, WBA (Super), and WBO heavyweight titles. But Miller failed a series of drug tests and got pulled from the fight. Andy Ruiz Jr. stepped up on short notice to upset Joshua to capture the belts. Joshua regained the straps in their December rematch.
