Jarrell Miller defeated Derek Cardenas with a knockout in the fourth round to continue his plan to fight every month for the rest of 2022.
Miller is making up for lost time after being away from competitive boxing for three years. It had been almost four years since he fought in America before Saturday's appearance in Tennessee.
The 34-year-old has stayed sharp with sparring roles over the years but made his comeback in June, and he hopes to feature again in August.
Miller (25-0, 21 KOs) boasts a now-extended unbeaten record, but after missing out on a fight with Anthony Joshua, he is fighting opponents well down the rankings.
Cardenas was sent to the canvas in the third round once and twice in the fourth as the powerful American secured victory when the referee was forced to step in and wave off the contest.
