The junior middleweight unified champion will have to wait for any Brian Castano rematch.

The International Boxing Federation has ordered current unified junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo to defend his belt against Bakhram Murtazaliev.

The duo now have 30 days to agree to terms for a bout, otherwise the clash will go to a purse bid, Boxing Scene reports.

Charlo became the IBF champion last September when he defeated Jeison Rosario, and won the WBA belt from him at the same time.

Charlo last fought at the weekend when he scored a controversial split-decision draw against WBO champion Brian Castano.

Charlo and Castano have both appeared open to a rematch, but the consensus appears to be that they both have other business to attend to first.

It seems that for Charlo, he must address the challenge from Russian fighter Murtazaliev.
