WBC world super flyweight champion Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez has had his say on this weekend's huge trilogy fight between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin.
The two great rivals meet for the undisputed super middleweight title in Las Vegas live on DAZN and DAZN PPV in some regions, and Rodriguez believes there will be one clear winner at the T-Mobile Arena.
"I feel like Canelo is going to take him [Gennadiy Golovkin] out early," said Rodriguez before adding, "You’ll see, in the later rounds I believe," when asked by The DAZN Boxing Show on his prediction.
The past seven months have certainly been one to remember for Rodriguez who has quickly become one of boxing's biggest young stars after unexpectedly winning a world title this past February.
As a result of this huge rise, Rodriguez has been rewarded with the co-main event slot in Las Vegas and he sees this as an opportunity to broaden his fanbase.
"It’s amazing, it’s a lot of motivation, there’s a lot of fighters who would fight for free to be a co-main with Canelo," Rodriguez said.
"It’s a blessing that I’m in this position, it’s a perfect opportunity to show just the casual fans who “Bam” Rodriguez is."
