Head-scratching scores from the judges.

Sandy Ryan threw everything she had at Jessica McCaskill.

The British fighter connected on crunching body shots and when McCaskill invited her to fiery exchanges, Ryan gladly accepted and got the best of the American with power punches on many of those sequences, too.

But what should have been a convincing unanimous decision win for Ryan at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida on Saturday night ended in a controversial split draw, with the judges scoring it 97-93 for McCaskill, 96-94 for Ryan and 95-95.

The inexplicable scoring robbed Ryan of becoming the unified welterweight world champion as she walked away with only the WBO title that she entered the ring with and not the WBA and WBC titles that she earned.

After being stung with the disappointment of the judges' scoring, Ryan immediately expressed a desire to "run it back" with McCaskill, adding that she thought she thought she was going to walk away as the unified world welterweight champ.

"That's boxing, ain't it?" Ryan told DAZN.
