WBA and WBC women's welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill is eager to face multi-weight world champion Natasha Jonas before the latter hangs up the gloves.
However, before a fight with Jonas can be made, McCaskill must first get past another British fighter in the form of Lauren Price with a date and venue to be announced soon.
Jonas has enjoyed a career resurgence since losing to Katie Taylor in 2021 and has managed to win world titles at light middleweight and welterweight where she is the IBF champion.
If a unification fight between McCaskill and Jonas can be made, it would be a huge event in women's boxing, and the American revealed that talks are underway to make the contest a reality.
"We have a great relationship with Natasha, she’s a wonderful woman and I know she’s coming to the end of her career," McCaskill told Sky Sports.
"Not only does she deserve to have that kind of high-level fight, she’s earned it.
"We would love to fight her just out of respect, that’s the conversation we’ve had."
