Joe Joyce on Anthony Joshua: 'I don't think his heart is fully in the game anymore'DAZN

Joe Joyce wants a significant fight and wants it sooner rather than later.

Joyce is the mandatory challenger of the WBO world heavyweight title and that distinction puts him in a position to face the winner of the August 20 rematch between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and former two-time titleholder Anthony Joshua.

Joyce on the other hand is scheduled to meet Christian Hammer on July 2.

The 2016 Olympic silver medalist doesn't give Joshua much of a chance to dethrone Usyk. Joyce is of the belief that his countryman is focused on other things, which don't include the fight game.

"If by some miracle Joshua beats Usyk, he will have to face me or vacate the belt," Joyce told The Sun

"His chin has gone, and I don't think his heart is fully in the game anymore. He's a businessman. [Joshua is] more interested in lecturing students."

Joyce fires one more parting shot at Joshua and then boldly says he'll show "AJ" how to beat Usyk.

"I'm No. 1 with the WBO," Joyce said.

"And when Usyk beats Joshua again, I'll show you how a proper heavyweight in 10oz gloves deals with a man who lost to a welterweight in the amateurs."
