John Fury has unveiled the next stage of Tommy Fury’s career and it doesn’t appear that the Love Island star is done with crossover boxing just yet.
Fury enjoyed the biggest win of his short career last month when he climbed off the floor to defeat Jake Paul via split decision, and it looks like the enormity of the event is making him eager to do similar bouts.
Unlike older brother, Tyson Fury, Tommy doesn’t have to seek out the best fighters in the sport to enhance his finances. Crossover boxing continues to push upwards and with a number of fighters ready to test themselves against Fury, his father believes that’s the route to keep following due to the money involved.
“I think at this moment in time conventional boxing will have to go on the backburner because boxing is a business, and you have to go where the money is,” said Fury Sr when speaking to Express Sport courtesy of Free Bets
“Whoever is a big name, who brings stuff to the table we’re interested in. We’re interested in KSI, he can have it next if he wants. We’re interested in the Salt Papi’s of the world, everybody with a name who thinks they can have a go, can have a go.
“Even with conventional boxing. If they want to pay the same sort of money as these guys are paying, we'll do the conventional boxing as well.”
