After a year away from the ring, Jonathan Gonzalez makes another defence of his WBO world light flyweight title against Gerardo Zapata. 

Zapata is yet to win in 2023 with his only outing this year coming in August when he drew with Azael Villar. 

Gonzalez made easy work of his last opponent with a dominant points win over Shokichi Iwata in Japan last November.
