Joseph Parker admits the hardest part of boxing is "leaving the family" as he enters camp ahead of his blockbuster IBF heavyweight championship bout with Daniel Dubois
The New Zealander will seek to become world champion for a second time when he meets his foe at Riyadh Season's The Last Crescendo, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View next year.

Previously the WBO heavyweight title during a two-year reign, Parker is looking to cement a remarkable career resurrection by securing another stint at the top of the world.
But as he ramps up preparations to face Dubois at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia next February, the star admits that missing the holidays with his children is tough to take.
"I think the most difficult part of boxing, for me, is leaving the family," he told DAZN's The Ariel x Ade Show. "IThe kids grow up and understand that I have to be away for work.
"There are times when they come with me and join camp. But this time, I really want to focus. It’s hard, but we all have to make sacrifices in order to achieve greatness.
It’s just one of those things. I’ve missed a lot of Christmases and New Years because I’ve been training or fighting. This is just another one of them.
"It gets harder and harder each time. The kids understand. It’s the journey, it’s part of the process and it’s part of preparing the best I can for this big challenge coming up."
Parker is looking to secure a sixth straight win in the ring since a loss to Joe Joyce in 2022, where he missed out on claiming the vacant WBO interim heavyweight title.
