After a controversial ending last year, there is still a score to be settled between former undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall.
When the two met for all four 140lb belts in Glasgow in 2023, Taylor was declared the winner on two of the judges' scorecards, but this decision was disputed by fans with many feeling Catterall won the fight after scoring a knockdown in round eight.
Since the dust settled on the first matchup, there have been numerous calls for the two British rivals to meet once more, but this rematch has never materialised.
Now with Taylor not holding a world title after losing his WBO super lightweight belt to Teofimo Lopez in June, a second meeting with Catterall could be on the cards as both men look to challenge for world title honours.
However, a rematch between the two has suffered another setback after Taylor rejected an offer from Catterall's promoter Matchroom.
"I don't accept offers at an 80% pay cut! Especially for a fight that's bigger than the 1st fight," Taylor wrote on X.
"I don't know anyone on the planet that would fight for that kind of pay cut!
"If Matchroom are serious about making the fight, they've gotta put a serious offer in. Simple as that."
