The welterweight champion is confident that his one time rival would not stand a chance.

Keith Thurman has dismissed Danny Garcia's chances of beating him should they ever meet in a rematch.

The former welterweight champion did an Instagram live chat and was given a chance to offer up his thoughts on a possible rematch with Danny Garcia.

"Handle me in a rematch? Oh my God," Thurman exclaimed. "He barely threw any punches. He was in the pocket, and he didn't pull the trigger. He was right there in the pocket."

Thurman beat Garcia on a split decision in 2017. Since a July 2019 loss to Manny Pacquiao, Thurman has been out of action due to a combination of injuries and the coronavirus pandemic. Garcia has been on the competitive circuit more regularly.

Garcia last fought in December, losing a wide decision to unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. Thurman wasn't impressed by Garcia's performance. "One Time" feels Garcia isn't the same fighter who rose through the ranks to become a unified junior welterweight champion and a former WBC welterweight titlist.

"I don't know if he got that dog in him no more," Thurman said. "That Philly boy, I don't know if he got that dog in him anymore. He was very cautious. Very timid. He be a timid fighter now hoping to land something."

"He threw a few things - how are you going to throw the only flurry - the only flurry was in the last 15 seconds. He was scared, boy. He was scared that whole time. None of these dudes want to take a hit on television. He was in the pocket. He didn't even do nothing to EJ."
