The WBC light flyweight championship is on the line after Kenshiro Teraji prepares to make his return to the ring after serving his suspenion.
He will fight Tetsuya Hisada on April 24 at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan, after a three-month suspension due to drink-driving. His fight with Hisada had been planned for December 2020 until he received his ban.
The undefeated champion is the favourite against the 36-year-old veteran Hisada, but after being out of the ring since 2019 he must be on his game to avoid an upset. Hisada is his mandatory challenger after moving up the WBC rankings.
Teraji, AKA 'Ken Shiro' has defended the title seven times since becoming champion in 2017, and could move onto a unification fight should he successfully make it eight.
