Khalil Coe got his 2024 off to the perfect start this past weekend as he stopped Juan Osuna in two rounds to maintain his unbeaten run.
The light-heavyweight prospect, an amateur sensation with numerous impressive wins, is now eager to be fast-tracked towards the business end of the division and test himself against leading fighters.
With the 175lbs weight class set to explode into life this summer when Dmitry Bivol faces Artur Beterbiev with every belt on the line.
A number of contenders are awaiting the outcome of that bout with some of the belts expected to become vacant, and Coe is expecting to be in the mix, and he’s identified two fighters he wants to test himself against.
“I wanna face guys like [Joshua] Buatsi and [Anthony] Yarde and Craig Richards,” said Coe when speaking to BoxingScene.
“I wanna be in those types of fights. I wanna become a household name by the end of the year. I feel like I deserve it and I feel like I can make it happen.”
