One fighter doubts a fight will take place.

Chantelle Cameron has taken to social media to address the current situation regarding her next move, and it doesn't look like a fight with Katie Taylor is next.

Last year, Cameron became the first person to beat Taylor as a professional, but the series was levelled in an immediate rematch later in 2023.

With the rivalry currently tied at 1-1 and both fights delivering brilliantly, the natural step for both appeared to be a trilogy meeting.

Reports have suggested that talks have taken place between both fighters, but Cameron’s Instagram account tells a different story and she doesnt appear confident that the battle will take place next.

“Just an update on talks with the Katie fight. I have agreed to a massive purse reduction to make this fight happen financially as this was what I was told was the hold up from the fight being agreed,” wrote Cameron.

“The reason is because I wanted to create my own legacy. Now it looks like Katie will take a “keep busy” fight and avoid me as I think she knows that certain things that went her way in the last fight won’t happen again.”
