Oleksandr Usyk has effectively cleaned up the heavyweight division in recent years and now it looks like Hollywood is next for the Ukrainian star.
Usyk became undisputed heavyweight champion back in May when outpointing Tyson Fury and he’ll face the British star for a second time when they clash again on December 21.
After already eliminating huge threats such as Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, some of Usyk’s focus is now outside of boxing with the movie industry showing plenty of attention.
Sergey Lapin, a key figure of Usyk’s training team will help his man get ready for the Fury sequel and he’s also provided an update on his fighter’s acting career.
“Usyk will be starring in a movie with The Rock, he plays our Ukrainian legend Igor Vovchanchin from MMA, who he has a lot in common with,” said Lapin when speaking to Betway.
“Igor, like Usyk, was able to beat fighters much bigger than him. Usyk was perfect for the role because they're both giant killers.”
