Legendary promoter names recent fight result that he thinks is a 'miscarriage of justice'Ed Mullholland/Matchroom
There was a controversial decision made on Friday night.

Frank Warren has continued to hit out at the scoring of Nick Ball’s controversial draw with Rey Vargas last week.

Despite making a slow start, Ball finished the fight strong with a solid second half performance and he managed to drop the Mexican fighter twice leading many to believe he had done enough.

When the scorecards were read out at the end of the fight, it was announced that the bout had been scored a draw and this caused disappointment in the Ball corner.

Warren, who has done a superb job guiding Ball’s career, has plenty to say about the contest.

“Without a doubt, we should be celebrating another British world champion in Nick Ball, who pretty much overwhelmed the champion Rey Vargas, only for the fight to be declared a draw on the scorecards,” said Warren in his Queensberry column

“It was a downright liberty, make no mistake, and I felt very sorry for Nick and his trainer/mentor Paul Stevenson for having to accept such a miscarriage of justice.”
