Lewis Ritson explains his strategy for Paddy Donovan clash

Lewis Ritson explains his strategy for Paddy Donovan clashDAZN
The British fighter is back on DAZN.

Lewis Ritson knows he will not outbox Paddy Donovan, but is trusting his experience will be enough to get the win.

The former British lightweight champion is fighting on the Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall undercard, live on DAZN in the UK .

His last fight was a defeat to Ohara Davies, when he lost a world title eliminator at super lightweight.

Ritson is still looking to make his mark on the sport at a higher profile, and a win against Donovan might help him land bigger fights later this year.

He believes a decent training camp will have put him in a healthy position ahead of the bout tonight.

“It’s a massive chance and a great card to be on. I’m just happy to be here feeling nice and relaxed, strong and feeling fit for a change going into fight week. I’m looking forward to putting on a good performance on Saturday night,” Ritson said, reported BoxingScene .

“I can’t believe the difference to what this fight camp has been like compared to the rest of them; it’s massive. I know we have a very tough fight on Saturday. Paddy is no mug, but I’m feeling really good, and we think we can pull the job off.”

He added: “We’re not stupid, we’re not going to outbox Paddy, he’s a great boxer. But he’s never been where we have been before.”
