Chris Eubank Jr was able to gain revenge over Liam Smith as he stopped his domestic rival in the tenth round of a contest he dominated in front of a rowdy Manchester Arena crowd.
Eubank Jr was eager to register a victory over Smith following their first clash earlier this year when the Liverpool man destroyed him in four rounds.
The opening two rounds of the bout saw both fighters compete up close in their quest for control and with everything in the balance, Eubank Jr took over in the fourth session.
A well-timed uppercut floored Smith and when he returned to his feet, his balance seemed off due to some sort of injury to his ankle.
Eubank had the initiative and he refused to let it go as he dominated Smith following the knockdown.
It was a hard watch at times as Smith tried desperately to stay in the fight but with Eubank Jr miles ahead, he closed the show in the tenth round.
An attack in the early stages of the session floored Smith and when Eubank Jr followed up his attack, the referee jumped in to stop the bout.
Eubank Jr took time from his celebrations to reveal his future plans with Gennadiy Golovkin, Kell Brook and Conor Benn all identified as his next target.
