Logan Paul says he'll 'break' Floyd Mayweather Jr. down 'physically, mentally'DAZN
Logan Paul feels he can do something no one has ever done to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Not many people feel Logan Paul will touch, much less take the fight to, Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their eight-round exhibition bout on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Two advantages Paul holds over Mayweather is he's seven inches taller and will outweigh him by at least 30 pounds. Paul believes the latter advantage will help him accomplish what the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and Conor McGregor failed to do.

"I'm just not them," Paul said when asked about Alvarez and McGregor. "I'm not going in there at 155 pounds. I'm not going in there with the fight meaning the entire world to me. I have nothing to lose. This whole thing is going to be fun for me. I'm going to play with Floyd – gonna dog him and hit him hard. I'm going to break him down physically, mentally, everything. I don't like comparing myself to other guys. As great as they might be, I'm not them."

Alvarez faced Mayweather in September 2013 as a 23-year-old and suffered the only defeat of his career via majority decision. McGregor, a former dual UFC champion, lost via 10th-round TKO in Mayweather's final professional bout in August 2017.

Paul's only professional boxing match was a narrow split-decision loss to fellow YouTube personality KSI in November 2019. Going from that bout to facing an all-time great is something the 26-year-old still can't wrap his head around.

"This whole thing is surreal," Paul said. "Everything about it. I told my manager, and we kind of had an inside joke that until I get in the ring with him, I didn't think this fight was happening. But I think it's safe to say that I can believe it now. I think it's happening. It's fight week. I can't imagine Floyd would back out now, but who knows? Old man fakes an injury. Gets scared of the big kid. I'm excited."
