Luis Nery vs. Brandon Figueroa: Date, fight time, TV channel and live stream

Luis Nery vs. Brandon Figueroa: Date, fight time, TV channel and live stream(Frank Micelotta/FOX Sports)
Both Nery's WBC and Figueroa's WBA (Regular) world junior featherweight titles will be on the line Saturday night.

Luis Nery and Brandon Figueroa have bodies of work that prove they're all-action fighters.

That promises absolute fireworks when the two undefeated world champions clash Saturday night at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Both Nery's WBC and Figueroa's WBA (Regular) world junior featherweight titles will be on the line.

Each world champion has been on a tear leading up to the highly-anticipated unification bout.

Nery, 26, grabbed the WBC title via a unanimous decision victory over Aaron Alameda back in September 2020 and sees Figueroa as a threat that he must dispose of.

"To me, bottom line, Brandon Figueroa is a threat," Nery said in a press release statement. "He is a threat to my career. He is a threat to my future plans. I need to eliminate that threat."

Figueroa, 24, first became WBA (Regular) interim world champion by pummeling Yonfrez Parejo into quitting after the eighth round of their April 2019 tilt. Four months later, "The Heartbreaker" stood and traded shots in the phonebooth with Javier Nicolas Chacon until he knocked out the Argentinian in the fourth round.

After shedding the interim tag and being promoted to WBA (Regular) world junior featherweight champion, Figueroa had a tough split decision draw against Julio Ceja, who entered the November 2019 fight overweight. However, Figueroa woud get back to recording stoppages when a relentless, crunching body attack led a referee to stop the action against Damien Vazquez, giving "The Heartbreaker" a 10th-round TKO in September.

Figueroa enters this bout with a three-inch height advantage and nearly six inches of reach over Nery. Whether either makes a difference remains to be seen.

Will Nery fight fire with fire and have his hand raised or will Figueroa work the body in the phone booth to victory?

One man will leave as unified world champion, with two titles in tow.
