Luke Campbell says Devin Haney 'yet to be tested' and 'not a problem' to beat himDAZN
The British boxer is seemingly tired of hearing Haney talk so much on social media.

Devin Haney has labeled himself the "#Boogeyman" of the lightweight division.

Well, Luke Campbell didn't get the memo.

The British boxer told Eddie Hearn on Friday that "Haney is yet to be tested" and that not only would he fight him, but he'd defeat "The Dream" without a problem.

“At the end of the day, if he is in my way, I’ll fight him, not a problem and I’ll beat him, not a problem as well," Campbell said on Hearn's Instagram Live chat.

“He does talk a lot," Campbell continued about Haney. "He has got in touch with the WBC to be emailed champion yet again, which is fine, if that’s the way he wants to do it. Or I’m here to fight and I want to prove I am the best and that’s it."

At 32 years old, Campbell has built a 20-3 record, including 16 KOs, and that's after a 2012 Olympic gold medal. Although Haney (24-0,15 KOs) shot up the amateur ranks, Campbell doesn't believe that the 21-year-old has faced the kind of high-caliber opponent that would warrant his boastful talk just yet.

“Devin Haney looks an all-round solid fighter, but I have boxed three former world champions and two three-weight world champions both in the top 10 pound-for-pound list when I fought them,” Campbell said, offering up some of his own resume.

“Haney is yet to be tested, he’s calling out everyone, so that being said, let’s fight," he continued. "Let’s see him against someone who is highly rated, who has proven himself at world level and see how he does. Is he going to sink, is he going to swim? We’ll have to find out.”

Haney spoke with DAZN News last week about claiming to be reinstated as the WBC lightweight titleholder. In December, Haney underwent shoulder surgery and needed the time to recover, so the WBC stripped him of the championship and put it up for grabs via Campbell vs. Javier Fortuna on April 17. However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic postponed that fight and Haney claims that he'll be facing Fortuna once the global crisis subsides.

So far this year, Haney has called out the lightweight likes of Vasiliy Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis to name a few.

Lomachenko, the WBA/WBO world lightweight champion, scored a unanimous decision over Campbell at The O2 Arena in London last August.
