Deontay Wilder’s reward for being successful against Zhilei Zhang this summer will be an August showdown with Jared Anderson.
Wilder is aiming to get back to winning ways after being outclassed by Joseph Parker last year and he can get that plan underway against the Chinese star on June 1.
Waiting for Wilder on August 3 will be Anderson with the fight set to take part on the huge Los Angeles blockbuster event that is headlined by Terence Crawford challenging Israil Madrimov.
Turki Alalshikh, the person largely responsible for these huge events, took to social media to announce Wilder’s plans.
“The talented Jared Anderson is with us now on August 3rd Riyadh Season card at LA against the ‘Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder – if he’s ready by then to fight after 1st of June’s fight against Zhilei Zhang,” wrote his Excellency on X.
“I always believe that boxing would be at its peak when you have young American heavyweights like Jared Anderson which I also believe in his talent and his promising future.
My advice to him, focus on your future, training and commitment and you will reach to your goals.”
