Manny Pacquiao could fight undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor, according to his coach Freddie Roach.

The Scot will next fight against Jack Catterall, and Pacquiao will next take on Yordenis Ugas, fighting this weekend for the WBA ‘super’ welterweight title.

"That fight can happen, for sure," Roach said to <a href="https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/12378061/manny-pacquaio-wants-to-fight-floyd-mayweather-again-says-legendary-trainer-freddie-roach" target="_blank">Sky Sports</a>.

Taylor has previously said that he would love to fight the Filipino senator, but Roach suggested such an event would be a possibility.

"We are just going one fight at a time,” Roach continued.

"The thing about Manny? He is not just going to pick some guy with a high rating because the world loves him.

"Manny wants to fight real fighters. He will challenge the best."
