Manny Pacquiao is outright dismissing the very thought about fighting Jake Paul someday, but is open to the idea of having a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"I'm still active in boxing, (Mayweather's) retired already, so I don't know," Pacquiao began telling TMZ Sports about the prospects for a rematch.
When TMZ flat out asked him if he's open to the rematch, the boxing legend replied: "Yes."
That being said, what Pacquiao isn't open to is going down the path of Mayweather and fighting a YouTuber. Mayweather had an exhibition bout with Logan Paul in June. Pacquiao declined opting for the same route against Logan's younger brother Jake.
"No, I will not. I will not," said Pacquiao about ever fighting Paul. "I want to fight the best to add on to my legacy.
"I’m not underestimating Paul, but he’s, he doesn’t have a lot of experience of boxing," Pacquiao added. "So, in that point, he’s already, disadvantage for him to fight in boxing."
At 42, Pacquiao is certainly fighting one of the best Aug. 21, when he'll challenge undefeated unified world welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
