The fighting politician will be back in action this weekend.

Manny Pacquiao is still hoping for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, according to his trainer Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao had been due to fight IBF and WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr this weekend, but an eye problem for the unified champion has seen Yordenis Ugas step in to fight for the WBA ‘super’ welterweight title.

While the Filipino senator is still fighting at 42, Mayweather is 44 and retired, with his last action coming in an exhibition this summer against YouTuber Logan Paul. Any rematch between the two legends would have to be competitive, said Roach.

We would like to fight Mayweather one more time," he told Sky Sports.

"But exhibitions? No. Manny is not into that.

"Manny has boxing fans. That's what we're after."

Mayweather was the victor when the pair met in 2015, one of only two career defeats for Pacquiao.
