Martin Bakole is exuding confidence ahead of his heavyweight fight against Jared Anderson.
The two will meet on the undercard of Terence Crawford's clash with WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3, which will be live on DAZN.
The undefeated Anderson is being billed by some as a world champion in waiting, but Bakole is someone who is very assured in his own ability and claims to be one of the heavyweight division's most avoided names.
If Bakole does manage to get the win next month, then he will find himself in the running for a fight against one of the division's star names, and the 31-year-old is predicting a knockout when he faces the American in the City of Angels.
“It is 100 percent going to happen. That is what I’m working hard to do. So that is what I have to do in America because I’m fighting in America. I have to knock him out,” Bakole told Sky Sports.
"I will, 100 percent, believe me. I will push myself and do everything in my power to stop him. I have to do the business. That is the Martin Bakole mentality. Always go to win.
“He's never fought someone at my level, this is a big test.
“He’s got a champion’s mentality. I like that. I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s going to bring in the ring.”
