Miguel Cotto knew what it was like to operate at the highest level of boxing after capturing numerous world titles during his lengthy and illustrious career.
In a long spell that saw him reign in multiple weight classes, Cotto took on the very best that boxing had to offer as he played his part in a number of memorable contests.
After suffering his first defeat at the hands of Antonio Margarito in 2008, Cotto wasn’t deterred as he still pushed on to test himself against some of the sport’s most legendary names.
Despite going in with Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, and Canelo Alvarez, Cotto doesnt credit any of those fighters as having the best chin he came across.
“Yoshihiro Kamegai,” said Cotto when speaking to The Ring about the man he defeated in his penultimate fight in 2017.
“I hit Mayorga so hard it was so hard to believe he was still standing in front of me, but I think Kamegai had the best chin. I punched him with all my best and flush shots and the guy kept coming.”
