Mike Perry is 0-1 in boxing in comparison to Jake Paul, who sports a 9-1 record including six knockouts.
While Paul is the more seasoned boxer, "Platinum" believes the YouTuber/boxer is "green" when it comes to flat out fighting. That's where Perry counts more than 10 years of experience between mixed martial arts — including about five years in the UFC — and more recently fighting in bare-knuckle bouts with BKFC.
Perry is confident that his fighting experience edge will show up Saturday night, and live on DAZN, when he challenges Paul in a boxing bout.
"I'm going to exploit those green tendencies in this fight," Perry vowed straight to Paul's face during DAZN's "Face 2 Face" sitdown conversation between the men. "And you will break. You look very flubbery. I'm hard as a f—ing rock."
Perry added: "Ten-ounce gloves, no headgear ... I'm gonna hurt you, Jake."
Brutalizing the likes of Michael Page, Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold in BKFC, Perry thinks he can add Paul to the list of his victims — despite this being in a boxing ring.
"I know he trains, he gets in the ring, he does his miles, he spars his rounds," Perry said of Paul. "His team, I don't know if they're lying to you a little bit about your capabilities against me in this fight on Saturday, man. I'm gonna be something you have not seen."
He added: "I'm gonna teach you more."
Paul responded: "What can you teach me?"
"That I'm harder than you, that you're green," Perry retorted, "that there's still things for you to learn that I've learned through the combat sports industry of being here for the last 10 years."
