The former world champion returns to the ring later this year.

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has named his dream opponent from any era in boxing.

At his peak, Tyson was one of the sport's most feared names and held the world heavyweight title.

Now, 19 years after his last professional bout, Tyson returns to the ring in November when he faces Jake Paul in what is set to be a huge event.

The upcoming clash with Paul will be a unique test for Tyson, who in the past has shared the ring with the likes of Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes and Michael Spinx.

Speaking to Steve Farhood on ShoBox, Tyson revealed the fighter he would have loved to have faced in the ring was Floyd Mayweather and even claimed that he knew how to beat the multi-weight world champion.

"Well, I would love to have fought him. I wish he was my weight," Tyson began.

"We can never fight, of course, because of the weight difference, but I wouldn’t fight him the way they fought him.

"I would be mean, I would be dirty. Because you’d have to do everything to fight him because he’s just so good.

"You can’t... it’s almost impossible to fight him clean. It’s just so hard to beat him."

Mayweather dominated the sport of boxing since making his professional debut in 1996, winning multiple world titles and retired in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record (27 KOs).
