The eight-round exhibition was previously set for Sept. 12.

Fans anticipating the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. exhibition bout will have to wait a bit longer to see the boxing greats go at it.

On Sunday, RingTV.com reported that the eight-round fight has been rescheduled from Sept. 12 to Nov. 28. A source additionally told ESPN that organizers of the event wanted more time to iron out international TV deals and lingering details attached to the event, thus needing the bout to be postponed by over two months.

The Tyson vs. Jones bout will reportedly still take place at the Dignity Health Park in Carson, Calif., before an empty crowd due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The multimedia platform Trilla will broadcast the pay-per-view.

Neither Tyson nor Jones have publicly acknowledged the change in date yet, though they've each been eagerly anticipating their respective return to the ring.

While training to face Jones in the exhibition bout, the 54-year-old Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) took to his Instagram account Sunday and posted a video from his appearance on Discovery's "Jaws: Rumble on the Reef" as a kickoff to "Shark Week."
