The PFL's latest signing, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, has had his say on the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz.
The pair will go head-to-head in Texas on August 5 live on DAZN PPV in what will be Paul's first fight since losing to Tommy Fury in February.
The bad blood between the two is already building after a fiery press conference earlier this month, but when it comes to the fight itself, Ngannou is backing the former UFC star to do the business against 'The Problem Child'.
"Originally, I would go for Nate Diaz, but Jake Paul has been proving himself," Ngannou told The DAZN MMA Show.
"I think you really have to count him in, he has proven that he’s a boxer now. He’s not just a YouTuber, he’s a legit boxer now.
"I count him in, but I’ve still got Diaz."
Ngannou will make his PFL debut in the promotion's PPV Super Fight Division in 2024.
