A new potential rival for Tyson Fury has emerged with Australia’s Demsey McKean linked to a fight with the WBC champion.

Fury is currently down under supporting Joseph Parker in his next fight and after revealing he’d like to compete in Australia, a fight against McKean would surely do big business in the challenger's homeland.

Fury, inactive since defeating Derek Chisora at the backend of 2022, was in negotiations to face Oleksandr Usyk in the early stages of this year but that fight is no longer happening.

Eager to fight this summer, could Fury face McKean next? Angelo Di Carlo, the manager of McKean, has spoken on the matter.

“Chats began some time ago for Demsey to fight Tyson Fury in Australia and I think Demsey is the best option for the Gypsy King,” said Di Carlo when speaking to News Corp

“We’re certainly keen to do the fight, I’ll have more talks with Fury’s camp and see where that takes us.

“If Tyson Fury wants to fight in Australia, the logical option is to fight an Aussie fighter and talking to Fury’s people, they don’t want to fight a small heavyweight.”
